  • Q. Why do I have to be weighed at each visit to the clinic?

    A. Your weight is important to us because:
In case of an emergency, having a recent weight may help us know the correct medicine dose for you.
Recording your weight helps us know if you are carrying extra fluid or if you are dehydrated from an illness.
If your blood pressure or blood sugar is not responding to treatment, it could be from gaining weight.

    Q. What if I don't want to know the number?
    A. You can step on the scale backward and ask the staff not to tell you the reading.
Please do not refuse to get weighed. It is very important as we work together to manage your health.
