Arthritis

Arthritis affects one of every six Iowans. Many resolve to live with arthritic pain but arthritis and the pain it causes can be controlled through medical management and treatment. We believe you play an integral role in the care we provide; we will work with you as a partner in achieving your good health.  Our physicians are board-certified in rheumatology (the study of arthritis) and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease that reduces the strength of your bones, causing them to become brittle and prone to fracture.  After age 50, women have a 40 percent lifetime risk of suffering a fracture from osteoporosis. Our center has been a leader in the fight for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, the disease that causes this common problem. As part of our high standard of care, our physicians are certified by the International Society of Clinical Densiometry.

Dr. Pittman provides care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, vasculitis, osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis. He has also trained in ultrasound-guided joint aspiration and injection procedures.

If you need a physician after the clinic is closed, call the clinic number and you will receive the answering service. This service will then page the physician on-call.

Test Results

If you need a test that requires lengthy processing, tell our staff how you would like to be notified of the results, which you will
receive within two weeks. If we have been unable to notify you of the outcome, please call the office.
